What this covers

Parrot Piano Lite (including builds distributed via Google Play and sideload APKs), Parrot Piano Standalone (sideload), and the website ppiano.ru (including the /tools search and convert pages).

No accounts, ads, or sale of personal data

We do not require you to create an account. We do not show advertising. We do not sell personal data.

Network activity

When you search for MIDI or convert audio, the app or website may contact our API at ppiano.ru and third-party catalogs such as BitMidi and the Internet Archive.

Where YouTube search or convert is enabled (sideload Lite, Standalone, or /tools), requests may go through our server to fetch public media metadata or audio for transcription into MIDI. Google Play builds of Lite may ship with YouTube features turned off; in that case those requests are not made from the app.

Data on your device

Saved MIDI files, audio caches used for conversion, and similar practice data stay on your device unless you export or share them yourself.

App preferences (theme, search sources, and similar settings) are stored locally (for example in the WebView localStorage). We do not sync them to a user account in the cloud.

Bluetooth MIDI and location

To connect a Bluetooth MIDI keyboard, the app uses Bluetooth permissions. On some Android versions, the system may also ask for location permission because BLE device discovery historically required it.

Bluetooth scan is configured not for user geolocation (neverForLocation). We do not use these permissions to track where you are.

Children

Parrot Piano is not directed at children and is not designed as a children’s app.
